LE PIGEONNIER lies off the road between Monsegur and Duras, commanding beautiful views across the valley of the Dropt.

The Pigeon Tower sits in the grounds of the owners main house but is set down a level being far enough away from the house to make it private.

It is approached by its own drive and has one of the most spectacular views across the valley.

Le Pigeonnier is by the main house's swimming pool with fantisitic views.

The large swimming pool is a 12m / 6m pool  with roman steps at one end which is run on a salt system so it is kinder to your eyes.

The pool is shared with the owner's house, Grand Bouteau, and her guests.

There is a private sun terrace in front of the Pigeon tower for your sole use.

The Pigeon tower has been renovated to a high standard keeping the original features whilst enhancing its charm and natural beauty.

It is an ideal romantic haven for a tranquil break.

It is unsually large for most pigeon towers as during the renovations the outer walls have been extended to make a larger square floor plate.

The tower's accomodation is spread over three floors.

When entering the tower you approach an opened plan living area with a fitted kitchen and a separate dining area.

Adjacent is a seating area placed around an open fireplace.  There is a TV with a built in DVD player and Freeview box allowing you to access the standard UK channels.

There is also wifi Internet access.

During the colder months there are radiators fuiled by a boiler which gives instant heat.

From this room double doors open out onto the terrace with the most spectacular panoramic view of the valley.

On the terrace you will find a table and chairs with an umbrella.  There is a small webber barbeque.

Also there are four sun loungers on the terrace makng an ideal sun trap whislt you take in the lovely view across the valley.

The kitchen has a gas hob and electric oven, a dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster and a fridge freezer.

Under the stairs is a washing machine and a clothes horse.  Also there is a clothes line at the rear of the tower.

Walking up the stairs you will pass a fascinating piece of history, which we have carefully restored.  A World War II carving etched by a revolutionary hiding out in the tower.
