At the end of the gallery there is another double bedroom which has a comfortable double bed with a dressing table.


The room over looks Heathers enchanting Pottager and the windows have shutters and curtains.

Adjacent to this room is an upstairs bathroom which serves both bedrooms upsatirs.  


There is a bath with an ovehead shower wash hand basin, a WC and a heated towel rail.  There is a hairdryer in this bathroom.

A gallery stretches over the sitting room with a desk and bookshelves with games and books. There is a house book giving you details on how the house works local doctors, dentists, restaurants and suggested visits for wine buying and days out.


Off the hallway is a twin bedroom with westerly views over the garden.


Petit Bouteau is a no smoking house.  Pets are allowed. 


All linen is provided including bathroom towels and swimming towels. The house is cleaned on changeover days. If a change of sheets and extra cleaning is required this can be arranged at an extra cost.


Petit Bouteau is a charming cottage that you can enjoy the gardens, woodlands and private pool aswell as being a part of the adjoining buildings of   Bouteau.

A pretty cottage, set in it's own grounds but part of the Grand Bouteau property.


Petit Bouteau faces south on to semi-wooded lawns and west down a beautiful valley. This is the perfect place for evening drinks and watching the sunset. A stonewall separates the cottage from the main house thus giving you privacy.


Delightfully situated by a wood and at the top of the valley between Monsegur and Duras.

The chlorine pool is shaped in a kidney and is  10m x 5m. The shallow end has roman steps.


There is a table and chairs by the side of the pool for lunches and sun loungers for a lazy afternoon.



The cottage is entered via the glazed doors which leads you into the front hall, which has old Gironde floor tiles white stonewalls and beamed ceilings. This room has an upright piano, coat stand and table with a large mirror.


From the hall a glazed door leads to the sitting room, which again has old Gironde floor tiles, stonewalls and wooden ceiling with exposed beams. There are chairs and a sofa around a large open fireplace, logs are provided for spring and autumn lets.  There is a TV with a built in DVD player and free to view box allowing you to access the standard UK channels.


There is also wifi Internet access. 

The kitchen and dining area lead from the sitting room.  The kitchen has French doors leading onto the side terrace. The well-equipped kitchen has wooden units old floor tiles and beamed ceilings which all help with the cosy atmosphere. A green and yellow theme prevails. The cooker has a gas hob and electric oven, there is a double sink unit, large fridge, small freezer, dishwasher, microwave, Magimix, coffee grinder, toaster and electric kettle.


The dining are is adjacent with a buffet and fitted cupboards off which is a downstairs cloakroom come laundry room with washing machine and tumble drier iron and ironing board washbasin and WC.

From the living room there is a ground floor double bedroom with a connecting twin room and a bathroom serving the two rooms.


The rooms are decorated with blue Toile de Jouey and mahogany antique furniture. There is also a covered porch with table and chairs which is accessed from the bedroom thus making an ideal tranquil spot for breakfast or an early morning tea with out been disturbed from the rest of the house.


The house is heated with radiators; the upstairs radiators can change over to air-conditioning during the heat of the summer.

There are graveled terraces on two sides of the cottage one with the sun beds and the other with table and chairs with barbeque and canopy.


There is a wooden Wendy house and swings for the children at the bottom of the garden.


On approaching the cottage you pass by the loggia, which is furnished with a table and chairs. This is surrounded by a low retaining wall topped with pots of tumbling geraniums.
